PPCA Grants

Phonographic Performance Company of Australia’s Grants

Members of the Musicians’ Union are eligible to apply for grants from the Phonographic Performance Company of Australia’s, Performers’ Trust Foundation. The PPCA Trust Fund exists to assist in the advancing of music and the performing arts.

Grants of $2500 for individuals and $5000 for groups are available for the following purposes:

  • scholarships for the promotion and encouragement of musical education.
  • performances at, or for, charitable institutions such as hospitals or aged care facilities.
  • the promotion and encouragement of the performing arts to the general public.

As an example, many members have used grants to further their instrumental studies overseas with acclaimed international performers. Successful applicants must show a willingness to share any knowledge or techniques they have learnt as part of their grant and demonstrate where a general benefit to the industry will result.

Members of the Union are encouraged to contact their Branch Secretary for assistance in preparing their application. No guarantees are given that applications will be successful. However, your Branch Secretary will be able to advise you on whether your application meets with the objects of the Trust Deed.
